JUHUDI is a National NGO in Kenya existing to promote good governance and human rights, promote peace and reconciliation, and to economically empower the poor through sustainable development initiatives at the grassroots level.

JUHUDI is a Swahili word meaning effort as well as an acronym for JUstice HUmanity and DIgnity. Hence, JUHUDI Community Support Center is a National Non-Governmental Organisation in Kenya. It was formed in January 2010 and officially registered by the Government of Kenya under section 10 of the Non-Governmental Organizations’ Coordination Act in March 2011 as well as registered as a Public Benefit Organisation.
JUHUDI is a civil society organization whose operations are focused to the challenges facing several vulnerable groups, with special attention given to those communities living in arid and semi-arid areas towards empowering local communities through sustainable peace development, while factoring in the economic elements in collaborations with partners.
To spearhead advocacy aimed at strengthening community initiatives and local level institutions.
To conduct, co-ordinate or commission research on civic rights of communities.
To build the capacities of the youth groups, women groups and pwd’s to undertake in livelihood initiatives.
To mainstream human rights, HIV /AIDS, gender, environment conservation, peace building initiatives and reconciliation
To enhance learning and experience sharing networks and other civil society organizations locally, regionally and internationally.
To raise the competence of community institutions and their representatives to develop an informational support service in order to catalyse change on good governance.
To create a culture of peace building, reconciliation, security as well as influencing the formulation and implementation of national and county policies that promotes equitable resource distribution and good governance.
To realize peace by empowered and improved society through sustainable development.

To empower marginalized communities and see a transformed community where there are no forms of poverty, where justice is for all and where people have opportunities to influence their own destiny through collaboration with partners.
